Project Management Support to Lockheed Martin's Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) Group
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced on December 18, 2008, the award of new Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPCs) to sixteen Energy Service Companies (ESCOs), including Lockheed Martin. Blue & Gold is supporting The Columbia Group's USMC contract support the Distributed Operations/Enhanced Company Operations (DO/ECO) program as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Marine Corps Operational Matters. We are assisting with the tasks of planning, acquiring and fielding of DO/ECO equipment to Infantry Battalions and with the collection of Lessons Learned from Battalions on the use of that quipment. Additionally, we are compiling survey data, conducting analysis and provide written reports on findings, analyze Lessons Learned reports on Infantry Battalions that have been produced to date and report on trends which are common to all battalions. Ultimately, we are making recommendations on areas that could lead to improvements in equipment functionality, training, tactics, techniques or procedures with the goal of improved combat effectiveness of small unit Marines.
